What do Christian women in 2008 have in common with Biblical women like Prisca, Phoebe, Veronica and Miriam? They value friendship. Friendship is, according to author Joan Chittister, always and everywhere eternal mystery, and eternal desire. It is a grasp at the ultimate, the quest for human understanding.? Join women from the church and community to explore the nature of Biblical and spiritual friendship using Chittister's book, The Friendship of Women: The Hidden Tradition of the Bible. Who knows? You may even meet a new friend.
59 Minutes for Men
Saturdays, monthly, 8–8:59 a.m., Youth Center, lower level
A men's breakfast, Bible study and fellowship time once a month on Saturday morning. That's time enough for a light breakfast, good conversation but not so long that it keeps anyone from the soccer, football event or getting the chores done. Lesson materials will be available at the Church Office two weeks before the meeting.
