59 Minutes for Men
Saturdays, monthly, 8– 8:59 a.m., Youth Center, lower level.
A men’s breakfast, Bible study and fellowship time once a month on Saturday morning. That’s time enough for a light breakfast, good conversation but not so long that it keeps anyone from the soccer, football event or getting the chores done. Lesson materials will be available at the Church Office two weeks before the meeting.
Soothing Stitches: Prayer Shawl Ministry
Meets third Tuesday of the month, 7:30 p.m., church parlor, main level.
As shawls are knitted or crocheted, images of healing, compassion and joy are prayed into the stitches. The work of our hands blesses the heart of each shawl’s recipient. Join our circle of knitters and crocheters at the church or work on your project at home and add your handiwork to our next shawl blessing. We are also working on small teddy bears for the Mother Bear Project.
Sisters Bible Study
Wednesdays, 7:15–8:30 p.m., Chapel, main level.
What do Christian women in 2008 have in common with Biblical women like Prisca, Phoebe, Veronica and Miriam? They value friendship. Friendship is, according to author Joan Chittister, “always and everywhere eternal mystery, and eternal desire. It is a grasp at the ultimate, the quest for human understanding.”
Join women from the church and community, growing in relationship with God and one another.
Tri-S
