UMCOR is the global humanitarian relief arm of The United Methodist Church. Their efforts are targeted in places where natural disasters, war, or conflict have done so much damage that communities are unable to recover on their own. In addition, UMCOR helps communities in the United States and abroad prepare for emergencies and address issues of health, sanitation, poverty, sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and food security.

UMCOR and its partners are responding to disasters around the world every day. In 2024 they addressed 137 crises worldwide. Their work continues in 2025 by providing aid to those affected by wars in Gaza and Ukraine, as well victims of natural disasters such as the earthquakes in the Philippines. UMCOR also aids in disaster relief closer to home such as the flooding in Texas and tornadoes right here in Illinois.
