Pentecost

  • First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights 1903 East Euclid Avenue Arlington Heights, IL, 60004 United States (map)

On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit takes center stage—breaking barriers and creating understanding across difference. The wind blows, the fire dances, and love spreads. The Spirit moves in all people, interceding when we have no words, and reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God made known in Christ.

Join us for a morning of worship and celebration as we welcome Bishop Karen Oliveto, first openly lesbian bishop in The United Methodist Church. Bishop Oliveto will preach as part of our series, Spark a Flame: Good News for Everyone.

An author, pastor, and prophetic voice, Bishop Oliveto’s books include:

📖Our Strangely Warmed Hearts: Coming Out into God’s Call
📖Together at the Table: Diversity without Division in The United Methodist Church

Come celebrate Pentecost with us—a day of wind, fire, and welcome.
