Youth & Kids Ministry Update

Being together is the best! We’ve been up to some fun stuff so far this year and want to make sure you know about it!

We restarted Children’s Sunday School for the first time in 18 months with a delightful Homecoming Sunday yard party! We have a small but mighty team of dedicated teachers who are pouring themselves into our children and helping them grow in their knowledge of God, and their place in God’s world. The classes have been working through various stories in the Creation narratives in Genesis in conjunction with our Sunday morning worship series. Elementary children have experienced God’s story through art, storytelling, science, and cooking sessions so far and are eager for more!

JrHI & High School Youth Group are in full swing having met weekly through September. We’ve played board and video games, tossed the frisbee, played sardines, tried to escape the sinking Titanic, read scripture, watched some visually stunning illustration videos, and explored some deep questions about this material/spiritual life we’re living through.

JAM got its first reboot yesterday, and we are excited for the return of our kids' music program to offer in worship! Add in weekly art, puppets, yoga, story time, and an opt-in family meal, and there is plenty to be excited about cultivating here!

Stay tuned for more fun to come this fall/winter with the all-youth Corn Maze on October 16, Trunk or Treat on October 31, and Santa’s Workshop on December 4!
