The First United Methodist Preschool/ We-e  Care Program was formed as a ministry to the community in 1973 and 1974 respectively. The program’s purpose and ministry was to provide a nurturing, safe and trustworthy environment, one in which each child could grow and develop to his or her own potential. The program is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Extension/Enrichment

We currently offer, to most preschool students, the opportunity to stay for a longer day. Current enrichment offerings are Language Stars and Kindermusik (Mondays and Tuesdays, October – May).

Extension, a chance for children to stay, play and eat lunch, is offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays (October-May).

Registration

Registration begins at the end of January and is ongoing until classes are full. For preschool, the first month’s tuition, as well as a $75 registration fee is due at the time of registration. For We-e Care, the $75 registration fee is due at the time of registration.
